Teens for the Cure

The Pittsburgh Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure would like to welcome your participation in our very successful Teens for the Cure® program.  This program has provided many area students immeasurable opportunities for academic and personal growth while keeping our promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures.  The program is for middle and high school students, ages 13-19.

When your school or students create a graduation project or program around breast cancer, you are helping to increase awareness of breast cancer at an early age and helping to save the lives of our future. Educational material and guest speaker's can be provided to schools or planned events through out the year. Please call 412.342.0500 for details.

The Pittsburgh Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure would like to recognize area schools and their students for their school projects and education programs as they relate to breast cancer and awareness.

Let us know about the program or project your school, student, a group of students or a teacher may have organized that has helped in the fight against breast cancer. Nominations can be submitted by a student, teacher, friend or family member. You may also nominate yourself!  Let us know about these project by emailing us at  dlanzy@komenpittsburgh.org

Area students and schools will be selected to receive a special award on stage day of Race 2012. (Students must be 13-19 years of age to qualify). Awards will be given out on stage day of Race.
